LMK Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 7, 2026

LMK Social Inc. (“LMK,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the LMK application, website, and related services.

This Privacy Policy explains how LMK collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use LMK.

LMK is designed to provide social and event-coordination functionality while giving users meaningful control over what information is visible to other users.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use LMK, we may collect the following categories of information.

Account Information

When you create an LMK account, we require:

  • Full legal name;

  • Date of birth;

  • Email address; and

  • Phone number.

We may also collect your profile photo and other information that you voluntarily add to your profile.

Authentication Information

If you create an account using email and password, authentication information associated with your account is processed as necessary to secure your account.

You may choose to add:

  • Profile photo;

  • Full name;

  • Birthday, without displaying the birth year;

  • Instagram;

  • TikTok;

  • LinkedIn;

  • Other supported social links.

Your profile is intentionally limited in scope.

Contact Information

LMK allows you to add Contacts either by giving LMK permission to access contacts stored on your device or by manually entering information for an individual contact.

Contact information may include names, phone numbers, and email addresses.

A person whose information is provided to LMK through another user's contacts may not have an LMK account.

LMK may use contact information to support contact matching, account discovery, invitations, and related functionality.

LMK does not make a non-user's private phone number or email address visible to another user simply because that information was provided to LMK.

Device and Technical Information

We may collect information about the device and software used to access LMK, including:

  • IP address;

  • Device type;

  • Operating system;

  • App version;

  • Device or installation identifiers;

  • Login information;

  • Approximate location derived from technical information;

  • Diagnostic information;

  • Crash and error information; and

  • Usage and interaction information.

Location Information

LMK may request permission to access location information for location-related features.

Location access is permission-based. Where location is shared with other users, you will be given an appropriate choice before the information is shared.

You may disable location permissions through your device settings, although doing so may affect features that depend on location.

2. How We Use Personal Information

LMK may use personal information to:

  • Create and maintain accounts;

  • Authenticate users;

  • Verify email addresses and phone numbers;

  • Provide Groups and Events;

  • Send invitations and service notifications;

  • Manage RSVPs and guest lists;

  • Carry out other purposes disclosed when information is collected or otherwise permitted by applicable law.

3. Phone Numbers and Email Addresses

Your phone number and email address are private account information.

They are not automatically displayed on your profile or disclosed to other users merely because:

  • You are LMK Contacts;

  • You belong to the same Group;

  • You attend the same Event;

  • Someone views your profile; or

  • Someone sees you on a guest list.

You may intentionally share your phone number or email address through an LMK feature designed to facilitate that sharing.

If another user already has your phone number or email address, they may use it to find or invite you to LMK. LMK does not need to reveal your private contact information back to that person.

4. Guest Lists and Privacy Controls

LMK provides privacy controls for Groups, Events, and guest lists.

Depending on the applicable settings:

  • Groups or Events may be public or private;

  • Events may or may not be discoverable;

  • Users may be required to request permission to join;

  • Users may be permitted to join without approval;

  • Guest or member lists may be visible or hidden; and

  • Individual users may have the ability to hide their name from applicable guest lists.

Where a user hides their name from a guest list, their participation may still be reflected in an aggregate count.

Privacy settings cannot guarantee that another person will not independently know or disclose your participation.

5. User Content

Content you post to a Group or Event may be visible to other authorized members or guests according to the relevant privacy settings.

LMK processes User Content as necessary to provide the Service.

You retain ownership of your User Content. LMK's rights to process that content are described in the Terms of Service.

If another user downloads, screenshots, copies, or otherwise records content they can legitimately access, LMK cannot guarantee that the content will remain within the Service.

6. How We Share Personal Information

LMK may disclose personal information in the following circumstances.

To Other Users

Information may be visible to other users only as necessary to provide the relevant feature and according to applicable privacy settings and user choices.

To Service Providers

LMK may use third-party providers for hosting, storage, authentication, communications, analytics, security, crash reporting, moderation, payment processing, and other technical services.

These providers may process personal information on LMK's behalf.

These technologies may collect technical and usage information.

10. Data Retention

LMK retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Retention periods may depend on:

  • The nature of the information;

  • The purpose for which it was collected;

  • Account status;

  • Legal requirements;

  • Security and fraud-prevention needs;

  • Dispute resolution;

  • Enforcement requirements; and

  • Backup and disaster-recovery systems.

Deleting an account may not result in immediate deletion from all backup systems.

11. Account and Content Deletion

Users may delete content and request deletion of their accounts through available LMK functionality.

When an account is deleted, LMK will delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, subject to information that LMK is required or permitted to retain.

Information retained for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or backup purposes will remain subject to appropriate protections.
